Daniel A. Andrus, licensed Master Electrician and former volunteer fire fighter, had always been fascinated by light, heat and power, and the many ways an electrician is able to keep businesses productive.  In 1993, just three years after founding his electrical contracting company, Andrus began developing extraordinary expertise in a group of products that can not only maintain a business’s functionality, but contribute to its success. These products are alternative, emergency and stand-by power systems – or generators.

At the same time, Andrus was also committed to finding renewable alternatives to electricity, oil and gas for heating homes and businesses. In 2002 his search ended when he was introduced to Central Boiler and its line of safe, clean and efficient outdoor wood  furnaces.

In 2003, Andrus changed to company’s name to Andrus Power Solutions, Inc to reflect the company’s three pronged approach to light, heat and power. The company’s mission is the same now as it was in 1990:

Keep businesses, and homes, productive by providing quality products and superior customer service.
           
Today Andrus Power Solutions has three divisions:

GENERATOR DIVISION
The Andrus Power Solutions’ Generator Division custom designs, sells, installs, and maintains generator, and TVSS and UPS, power quality systems primarily throughout the Western Massachusetts, Eastern New York State, Southern Vermont and Northern Connecticut. They also rent generators and light towers, and service and repair all generator brands.

The Generator division specializes in Baldor and Generac commercial generators, and Guardian residential generators.

CENTRAL BOILER DIVISION
Through its Central Boiler Division, APS offers businesses and homeowners in Berkshire County, MA efficient and environmentally friendly outdoor bio-mass furnaces to replace heating with oil, gas or electricity.

ELECTRICAL CONTRACTING DIVISION
The Electrical Contracting Division is highly regarded by both business owners and home owners for responsiveness, and the quality and speed of it’s work on renovations and new construction. It also supports the other two divisions.
